Their performance grades span from 4.6 to 12.9, with grades 8.8 and above classified as high-strength bolts. Installation precautions
When setting up fish bolts, it's crucial to observe the following safeguards: Ensure the contact surfaces between the fish plate, rail, and bolts are adequately lubricated with oil. Should misalignment occur during insertion, gently adjust by tapping the fish plate rather than forcing it in. Follow the optimal tightening sequence: start from the middle and proceed to the sides for four-hole fish plates, employing a wrench of the specified length, such as a 55 cm screw wrench. Avoid simultaneous tightening by multiple individuals to prevent overtightening. Ensure bolt caps are affixed crosswise on both the inner and outer lines to mitigate the risk of complete detachment in derailment scenarios.
