Product Description

   ASME B 18.2.2- Heavy Hex Nuts 1 1/2" - 2H - Black

 Cage Nut is a specially designed fastener consisting of a metal cage and a movable nut. This structure allows the nut to move axially within the cage but prevents it from rotating, and is particularly suitable for situations where a strong threaded connection needs to be created on thin sheet materials. 
Main structural features
Cage Nut usually uses a one-piece stamped metal cage with a square or hexagonal nut inside. There are elastic springs on both sides of the cage. When inserted into the square hole of the sheet, the springs will pop open and clamp the edge of the sheet to fix it. The nut can float up and down about 3-5mm in the cage, which is convenient for compensating for installation errors. 
Typical application scenarios
This nut is widely used in cabinet assembly (such as network cabinets, server cabinets), automobile cab installation, electrical housing fixation and other fields. It is particularly suitable for thin materials such as wood composite boards and particle boards that cannot be directly tapped. A strong threaded connection can be achieved by pre-punching square holes.
